In an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, North Star Tax and Accounting will be temporarily closing down our physical location and will be working virtually through our portal which can be accessed through the following link (North Star Portal) or our website (https://northstartaxes.com/) where you would click on “Client Portal” in the upper right. If you need any assistance accessing the portal, please feel free to email or call our office and we will help you get set up. Please note that email will generally receive the fastest response time. We understand that this will be an inconvenience for many of you; however, our top priority is protecting both our staff and the community.
We realize we are right in the heart of busy season and we want you to know that it is our priority to get our client’s tax returns done as soon as possible. Our staff will continue to work hard to meet our deadlines, but we are experiencing some delays due to the disruption. We appreciate your patience during this time. The IRS is extending all tax returns and payments to be due 7/15 instead of 4/15 this year.
Please note the following as we move to a remote work environment:
Dropping off tax docs: We have installed a secure dropbox at our Snohomish office. Feel free to leave your tax documents with us anytime using the slot. Please know you can always use our portal to upload your docs as well. If you need help with this, feel free to call or email us.
Signings: We will hold off on our in-person signings at this time. We will still continue to do virtual signings where you sign through the portal. We can also send you docs to sign and you can either email, scan or drop them off at our dropbox.
Thank you for your patience and support and the North Star Tax and Accounting family is wishing you the best as we all navigate the current situation as a community.
