Alicia Goodwin

Alicia is an experienced payroll advisor with over 11 years in the accounting profession. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Utah Valley University and began a career that includes roles as a bookkeeper, payroll specialist, and payroll manager. She first worked at our firm as a high school junior, a role that inspired her career path in accounting. Alicia has since built North Star’s payroll department from the ground up, developing processes and growing her team while providing expert guidance on complex payroll issues and delivering payroll solutions that drive client success.

Alicia specializes in areas such as IRS payroll notices, multi-state payroll compliance, and payroll for S-corporations and construction industry clients, and she is committed to helping clients navigate the intricacies of payroll management. Known for her academic excellence, Alicia graduated as the valedictorian of her associate’s class and salutatorian of her bachelor’s class with perfect 4.0 GPAs. Outside of work, Alicia is an avid baker, a dedicated mom of two, and a fan of family board games and movie nights. Living in a house divided, she relishes an NFL rivalry with her husband when the 49ers and Seahawks are vying for the top spot in the NFC West.
