Sheena Frenzel

Sheena Frenzel’s passion for numbers started early—she was helping with bookkeeping for her father’s construction business at just 12 years old. This early experience laid the foundation for her career, which now spans over 20 years in accounting and financial management. In 2008, Sheena founded North Star Tax & Accounting to provide bookkeeping services to small and medium-sized businesses. Partnering with Dave Romano in 2020, they expanded the firm’s services and grew it to a 40-person team offering bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, and consulting services.

Today, Sheena oversees bookkeeping and payroll operations, ensuring clients receive the same high standard of service and personal care that truly is our North Star. Specializing in QuickBooks restructuring and financial education for business owners, Sheena also consults on cost and profitability analyses to help businesses improve efficiency and profitability.

Sheena has extensive experience working with construction firms—especially those requiring job costing—as well as professional services, restaurants and retail businesses. Her professional approach emphasizes support, guidance and growth through open communication and collaborative relationships. She strives to empower clients by handling the complexities of financial management, allowing them to focus on what they do best.

Outside of work, Sheena enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her husband and four children. Her dedication to her family and her colleagues mirrors her commitment to helping businesses succeed—one carefully managed financial strategy at a time.
